What to do on a weekend if you are living in Bangalore?

I have tried a lot of things to have a good time on a weekend in Bangalore, some of which are listed below. I cant go out on a weekend because of work so not including that as an option. Let me know if you have any better ideas!
So here are the options:
1. Watch stupid movies on the tele which you wont be able to survive.
2. Go out for dinner but all you can get it tasteless food at super high prices.
3. Go out to watch a movie(obviously at very high prices) just to come back home, disgusted with the fact that the level of movies has fallen to such depths that its a torture to survive them in a theater.
4. Download and watch some good movies which you have already watched at least a dozen time.
5. Go out with friends to a pub where you wont feel like enjoying because of atmosphere which resembles a funeral at all times and the music played is simply shit.
6. Spend the day(and night) playing AOE with your roommate on the WLAN, while drinking beer, listening to your favorite music and eating some tasty home cooked dish. May be some time to read something as well.

I mostly opt for option 4 or 6.
So, what will you do if you were in the same situation eh?

    7. Google search for 10 ways to commit suicide and try enacting them. who knows it might work:P

8.Personally i purchased couple of remote controlled toy cars and set up a circuit in flat and well rest you can imagine. However i was bored after 15 days.

I pity you. even though i live in chennai i have found an awesome pub where i can listen to great music with a like minded crowd and the place rocks:)..4,5 and 6 are my options but i have also worked on 8 and would suggest you trying out 7:D

  1. Nah, I wont be trying out 7 for sure. I have not given up on life till now! πŸ˜›
Even 8 is not something I will enjoy 😦

since when u started having urge for more things to do?? as far as i remember all u ever needed were pc,net, cigarette pack and daru!!
there was a complete week in pune when u didn’t step out of ur room with all of the above in abundance !! πŸ™‚
btw u can try finding ppl to play cricket, hum log roj khelte hain yahan, that is definitely one great way to pass time.

        • Right, but back then I had loads of work even on weekends, so it was not a problem. Now its not the same.
Also, I am always game to play cricket but there are not a lot of people here who are, also finding a place to play is a big problem given the consistent drizzles we have here in Bangalore. 😦

    1. she will be “useful” enough in terms of taking care of you and your household. And it cant be more funfull life than playin wid your lovely kids(though i am not sure whether u will be havin a lovely kid or one like babbu!).

    2. i am talking about Opus with homepage http://www.myopus.in/. i think you will like it… just go through its link.

    3. i am completely agreed that your option 6 is good enough and even we are planning to start playin carrom. remember those summer vacations at khargone when we all used to play carrom endlessly and read champak/nandan/baalhans etc while gorging on senv ot laddoos! πŸ™‚

    • 1. She can be also ‘Useless’ enough to make things more difficult. I am not up for taking that big a risk. πŸ˜›
      2. This place sucks! They even have “White” as dresscode for some days. I am pretty much sure I wont like it.
